Why EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing life experiences. During EMDR sessions, clients focus on specific memories while engaging in bilateral movement—such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones—which facilitates the brain's natural healing processes.
This approach helps reframe how traumatic memories are stored, reducing their emotional intensity and allowing individuals to respond more adaptively in the present.
Why Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a brain-body–based, evidence-informed therapy that helps individuals access and process trauma, stress, and emotional pain stored deep in the nervous system. During a Brainspotting session, the therapist guides the client to identify specific eye positions—called “brainspots”—that are connected to unprocessed experiences held in the brain and body.
By gently holding attention on these brainspots in a safe, attuned space, the brain is able to process and release what has been stuck, often without the need to retell the full story. This approach supports deep healing, regulation, and integration, allowing individuals to experience relief and greater ease in their daily lives.
